quick question.. why do you read my emails?

Happy Friday!

I have a favour to ask of you today.

(By the way, this is rare. I’ve never done these kind of asks..)

Plain and simple: I’m curious why you open and click on my emails.

I’m saying this because I’ve recently learned that my emails have an average open rate that is 4x industry average.

I have my presumptions of potentially why.. but I would love to hear from the source :)

I’ll try to make it a simple multiple-choice question for you:

a) the email titles are always piquing my curiosity

b) I always learning something interesting from your emails

c) I’m here for the authentic energy which is refreshing

d) I’m bored // I click through every email

..or maybe it’s a combination of the above..

..or maybe some other totally different reason..

If you’re running low on time, do hit that ‘reply’ button with a letter or two to help answer my question!

And if you've got an extra minute, I would appreciate you diving deeper.

This also helps me with continuing to send out things that light you up when you're working your day job (how do I know? Well, I just know :P)

One year ago, I started writing and sending out emails.

I was actually not fully onboard with it. 😂

I overheard some people talking about it for business and thought I could try it out, doubting it because I thought emails were old school and social media was where the people were really at.

Social media allows your content to go broad, go viral, and reach thousands, hundreds of thousands of people.

I was pleasantly surprised to quickly learn that emails is where people’s focus, attention, and heart is at.

👉🏻 Emails focus on depth and substance.

True, meaningful, genuine connections.

👉🏻 Minus the glitz and glams of visual aesthetics, the emotional music and even my “camera-ready” face and environment. (All of which I was focused on when I was online for a few years.)

Perhaps that’s why email sales have been more effective in terms of quantity and quality, compared to social media. And this is the case for many multiple 6-figure or 7-figure entrepreneurs online as well.

I'm fine with that. Emails take less time and energy to whip up compared to social media too.

But seriously.. you can build your own aligned community, build deeper connections, impact and sales in even 5 hours a week, on top of your 9-5 job.

I wish I knew this sooner and would’ve done this when I was working my corporate job.

The most recent music concert I’ve been to was Bruno Mars before the pandemic and it was fantastic.. ..but like many, I have no idea what happens backstage.. Here’s the behind-the-scenes and reality for so many artists: Tldr; James Blake is a song-writer and performing artist (collaborated with Kendrick Lamar, Beyonce, Travis Scott, Andre 3000 and many more), who is fed-up with all the capitalistic companies trying to profit off of artists. These capitalistic companies include, but are not...

I love Instagram. I’ve been on this platform since 10 years ago. I started my public platform for business 4 years ago. I love how it’s so easy to practice simple skills and get content out there content can quickly go viral within 24 hours - ooh, the dopamine hits! I find bite-sized entertaining and educational content here and there It’s served me well for the first 2 years of my business. ..but it dawned on me that Instagram was costing me. No, it doesn’t cost money to create, but it was...

8:30am Saturday morning. 3 classes. Two yoga and one barre. We are now two classes down with one more in 30 minutes (11:30am) I’m currently sitting in this section of the yoga studio: I’m going to make the most out of the next 30 minutes by writing an email for my business, proving you can also do business work with just 30 minutes a day. :) Let’s do this! In one of my classes today, there was a girl beside me who I noticed was also more advanced than most beginners in the class. But, I...
