I’ve got 30-min to write this email before my yoga class.

8:30am Saturday morning.
3 classes.
Two yoga and one barre.
We are now two classes down with one more in 30 minutes (11:30am)
I’m currently sitting in this section of the yoga studio:
I’m going to make the most out of the next 30 minutes by writing an email for my business, proving you can also do business work with just 30 minutes a day. :)
Let’s do this!
In one of my classes today, there was a girl beside me who I noticed was also more advanced than most beginners in the class.
But, I noticed something: she would try to speed through all of the poses..
Now, I believe that yoga is your own journey. You take it at your own pace. (As with everything in your life.)
But I did notice and learn something from her pace.
👉 She was trying to speed through, almost like race to the pose.
I found that when I took the time to slowly ease myself into each pose, like a sitting forward fold for example (pic here for reference), I was able to do it better than her, racing to the finish line.
sitting forward fold example
I found that when I slowly broke it down into each step and took the time to “nail” it..
sit up straight, lengthen back
slowly fold down, lengthen with inhale
exhale and deepen with exhale
alternate between inhale & exhale (lengthen + deepen)
..I was able to go deeper folding into this pose.
But it took some time and intention for me to do so.. because I allowed myself to ease into it by focusing on the foundations first.
And I noticed the girl beside me who quickly reached for her toes in a matter of seconds wasn’t able to go as deep.
This is an incredibly important life lesson.
Today’s society preaches fast, quick, efficiency.
👉 It neglects the benefits of slow, sustainable, mastery.
Slow is good.
Slow allows space for intention, deepening, and I would even argue this is more efficient and productive in the long-run, grand scheme of things.
Instead of rushing into a relationship driven by physical appearance and lust, a deeper emotionally-connecting one takes time to get to know one another to build the emotional and physical connection.
Instead of rushing into working out, we need to take time to warm up our bodes so we don’t hurt ourselves over-stretching our physical capacities.
Instead of rushing into business strategies, we need to also take the time to do the inner work and truly feel love and feel comfortable with ourselves to be able to show up online confidently radiating our light with our content.
This is why my private coaching container Confident Creator Coaching, focuses on the true foundations and is a 4-12 month container.

And there we have it, as I’m typing it’s 11:21am, and by the time I plop this into my email system and send it through, it will be time for my next yoga class :)
This is a reminder that it can be simple, fun, and quick to literally work on your part-time business.. even if you’ve only got 30min on a busy Monday.
Remember to take things slow, focus on being present this weekend!
Sending love and good energy,
Nicole x

The most recent music concert I’ve been to was Bruno Mars before the pandemic and it was fantastic.. ..but like many, I have no idea what happens backstage.. Here’s the behind-the-scenes and reality for so many artists: Tldr; James Blake is a song-writer and performing artist (collaborated with Kendrick Lamar, Beyonce, Travis Scott, Andre 3000 and many more), who is fed-up with all the capitalistic companies trying to profit off of artists. These capitalistic companies include, but are not...
Happy Friday! I have a favour to ask of you today. (By the way, this is rare. I’ve never done these kind of asks..) Plain and simple: I’m curious why you open and click on my emails. I’m saying this because I’ve recently learned that my emails have an average open rate that is 4x industry average. I have my presumptions of potentially why.. but I would love to hear from the source :) I’ll try to make it a simple multiple-choice question for you: a) the email titles are always piquing my...
I love Instagram. I’ve been on this platform since 10 years ago. I started my public platform for business 4 years ago. I love how it’s so easy to practice simple skills and get content out there content can quickly go viral within 24 hours - ooh, the dopamine hits! I find bite-sized entertaining and educational content here and there It’s served me well for the first 2 years of my business. ..but it dawned on me that Instagram was costing me. No, it doesn’t cost money to create, but it was...
